What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 113 active cannabinoid chemicals in the hemp plant. CBD, unlike THC, does not produce euphoria or intoxication. CBD for our products is derived directly from the hemp plant and thus does not cause a “high”. The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own. It also has two receptors for cannabinoids called the CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are present throughout the body but many are in the brain. While CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system. They affect inflammation and pain. Current research shows that CBD seems to direct the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.
CBD supports physical and mental aspects and is commonly used for a variety of purposes:
You should always check with your physician if pregnant, nursing or have any medical conditions.
Consult your physician prior to use if you are taking any medications. Keep out of children’s reach as well.
Discomfort reliever: the body’s endocannabinoid system helps regulate many functions. They bind to cannabinoid receptors in the nervous system. CBD interacts with these receptors to reduce discomfort.
Supports neurological function: studies have shown CBD’s ability to act on brain signaling systems improved quality of life, sleep and quality for people with specific neurological problems.
Promotes heart health: research has linked CBD with benefits for the circulatory system and heart. CBD and its stress reducing properties may be a natural and effective way for maintaining healthy blood pressure.
Anxiety combatant: more and more research indicates CBD can also be used as a natural approach in the therapy of a range of mental health problems including anxious feelings and despondency.
